Why the etisalat recharge online form belongs on the homepage.

For a while, the recharge form lived on a dedicated page at /recharge.html. The homepage held the pitch, and a big red button said “fill in a request”. It was clean. It also lost us requests.

People landed on the homepage, read for eight seconds, and left. Not because the copy was bad — because the promise (etisalat recharge online in a written form) took two clicks to prove. On mobile, that is one thumb-scroll and one tap too many. So we moved the form back into the hero, and the pitch shrank to two sentences beside it.

What changed after the move

The number of form starts roughly tripled. The number of finished requests roughly doubled. That gap — starts versus finishes — is normal for any inline form. It is worth it. A started form is a much better signal than a homepage read, because it means the visitor is willing to type an Etisalat number without leaving the page they arrived on.

The deep-link still exists

The /recharge.html page is still there, with the same form. It is useful when someone wants to bookmark the request, or share the link over WhatsApp to a friend who does not want to scroll through a homepage first. That is the whole justification for keeping the extra page — deep-linkability, not conversion.

One thing we did not change

We did not add extra fields to the hero form to catch “high-intent” signals. It is still three fields. Anything else goes on the contact page. If the counter needed lead-scoring, it would not be a counter any more.
